Renewable Heat Premium Payment
Heating the nation’s homes is responsible for 47% of the UK’s total carbon dioxide emissions. By 2020 the Government aims to increase the amount of heat generated by renewables from the current 0.6% to 20%.
The Renewable Heat Premium Payment has been introduced with a fund of £15million to provide grants to homeowners wishing to install various type sof renewable heating systems.
Anybody choosing to install a Solar Water Heating system should be elligible for a £300 contribution towards the cost of the installation. They will then also be elligible for payments from the: Renewable Heat Incentive
People in receipt of the Renewable Heat Premium Payments will be able to apply for the full RHI tariff support once the scheme is introduced in Autumn 2012, as will anybody who has installed an eligible technology since 15th July 2009.
Are there any elligibility requirements for getting the RHPP or the RHI?
No matter how you currently heat your home and how much fuel you already use, anyone can apply for a grant towards purchasing solar thermal panels.
